Brivaracetam Tablet IP 50 mg is a prescription medicine used to manage partial-onset seizures, also known as focal seizures, associated with epilepsy. These seizures begin in a specific area of the brain and may occur with or without changes in awareness. Brivaracetam helps control seizure activity and may be prescribed according to the patient's diagnosis, response to treatment, and the applicable product information. Brivaracetam belongs to the antiepileptic medicine group and works by binding to synaptic vesicle protein 2A (SV2A), a protein involved in neurotransmitter release in the brain. This action helps regulate abnormal electrical activity associated with seizures. The 50 mg tablet is one available strength and may be part of an individualised treatment plan determined by a neurologist or another qualified healthcare professional. How to use
