IMATIFLOW 400 Tablet contains Imatinib 400 mg and belongs to a class of medicines known as tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Imatinib works by blocking specific abnormal proteins and signaling pathways that can promote the growth of certain cancer cells. It is prescribed for specific cancers and blood disorders, including Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML) and certain types of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), depending on the patient's diagnosis and treatment plan. Imatinib may also be used for other approved conditions based on specific genetic or molecular abnormalities. Use IMATIFLOW 400 only under the supervision of a qualified oncologist or healthcare professional. The dose and duration of treatment vary according to the condition, response to therapy, laboratory results, and other medicines being taken.
How to use
Take IMATIFLOW 400 exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is generally taken orally with food and a large glass of water to help reduce stomach irritation. Swallow the tablet as directed and do not change the dose, stop treatment, or take extra doses without medical advice. If you miss a dose, follow your doctor's instructions rather than taking a double dose. Regular blood tests and medical monitoring may be required during treatment.
Storage
Store IMATIFLOW 400 at room temperature, generally around 25°C, with permitted excursions between 15°C and 30°C. Protect the tablets from moisture and keep them in the original, tightly closed packaging. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not use the medicine after the expiry date. Do not crush or handle crushed tablets unnecessarily; follow appropriate precautions for anticancer medicines.
