Rivaroxaban 15 mg is an oral anticoagulant medicine belonging to a class of drugs known as Factor Xa inhibitors. It helps reduce the formation of harmful blood clots by blocking Factor Xa, an essential component of the body's coagulation system. Doctors prescribe rivaroxaban for specific conditions, including the treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and the prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in eligible patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. The exact indication, dose, and duration of treatment depend on the patient's diagnosis, kidney function, bleeding risk, and overall health. Rivaroxaban 15 mg tablets are generally taken with food, according to the prescribed schedule. How to use

Maintain a consistent schedule: Take each dose at the recommended time to help maintain the intended anticoagulant effect. Swallow as directed: Swallow the tablet with water unless your doctor or pharmacist has advised an approved alternative method of administration. If you miss a dose: The correct action depends on your prescribed regimen. For a once-daily regimen, the usual instruction is to take the missed dose as soon as you remember on the same day. For certain twice-daily treatment regimens, different instructions apply. Follow your patient leaflet or contact your pharmacist rather than guessing. Do not discontinue treatment yourself: Stopping rivaroxaban suddenly can increase the risk of blood clots or stroke. Check other medicines: Tell your doctor about painkillers, aspirin, other anticoagulants, antibiotics, antifungals, herbal products, and supplements because some can increase bleeding or affect rivaroxaban. Watch for bleeding: Seek urgent medical attention for uncontrolled bleeding, black stools, blood in vomit or urine, severe headache, or unusual weakness after a head injury.
