SILODOSIA M 25 is a combination medicine marketed by Steris Healthcare, containing Mirabegron 25 mg and Silodosin 8 mg. The two active ingredients work through different mechanisms to help manage selected lower urinary tract symptoms. Mirabegron is a beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonist that relaxes the bladder muscle during the storage phase. It helps increase bladder capacity and manage symptoms such as urinary urgency, frequent urination, and urge urinary incontinence. Silodosin is an alpha-1 adrenergic blocker that relaxes the smooth muscles around the prostate and bladder neck, helping urine flow more easily in men with urinary symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The combination of mirabegron and silodosin targets different aspects of urinary function. Mirabegron helps manage bladder storage symptoms, while silodosin relaxes the prostate and bladder-neck muscles. The suitability of this combination depends on the patient's symptoms, kidney function, blood pressure, medical history, and other medicines.
How to use
Take SILODOSIA M 25 exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow the product label for the recommended dosage, timing, and food instructions. Swallow the tablet as directed and do not crush or alter it if the formulation has special release characteristics. Take the medicine regularly as advised by your healthcare professional. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice. Storage
Store SILODOSIA M 25 according to the storage instructions printed on the product packaging. Keep the tablets in their original packaging, away from excessive heat and moisture, and out of reach of children. Do not use the medicine after its expiry date.
